For some 'blessed' reason, my school is always so 'privileged' to have VIPs dropping by. My P sure is good at PR. Anyway, the Director of Schools (DOS) was our latest guest yesterday. A average height guy with a little moustache, who is always followed closely by a project officer with heavy make-up that makes her look like one of those you would bump into at Rowell road.
During the informal chit chat session with the staff over tea, DOS spoke about Work Life Balance (WLB), asking us if we often stayed back till late after school. Our unanimous yes was shot back by his, "But you are not compelled right, staying back till 7?" Of course, our P was beside him. In my mind, my reply was "No Sir, she only made us stayed till 530pm." But well, nobody answered. A few of us gave a reluctant shake of the head. Then my P had to add this,"Yah, I have to drive them away. Next time I must collect rent from them for staying so late." -_-"
DOS then moved on to talk about WLB. Telling us to strike a balance by bringing work back home to do. :O
Sure, teaching is no joke these days. So to these people up there, WLB = Bring Work Home. *roll eyes*
