Movie-makers have never been so good to me!
My adrenalin is pumping! Yes, war films!! I'm not a violent person but war films are my kind of show!
The latest showing on the big screen is "Flags of our Fathers" (released on 30th Nov). The story revolves around the Pacific War during WWII, specifically on the battle for Mt Suribachi in Iwo Jima. Although this film is made from the perspective of the Americans (again), at least the focus is now on the Pacific theatre instead of the usual European theatre.

Coming soon on 14th Dec is "Flyboys". This time round, we're looking at WWI. Now that's something new! Set in an era where fighter planes were invented not long and this time, it is about young Americans who volunteered to take up arms (in the air) beside their European brothers as they took to the skies to whip the Central Powers (not Axis Powers as the latter belongs to WWII).
"Letters from Iwo Jima", arriving on the big screen on 1st Feb 2007. Yes! The war from a different perspective - The Japanese. This is the twin brother of "Flags of our Fathers" as they are both directed by Clint Eastwood and both films revolve around the battle of Iwo Jima.
I hope we get to see one from the perspective of the Germans soon (besides the last days of Hitler). =)
